VRLA Expo is the largest Virtual & Augmented Reality expo in the world. This event is produced by The Virtual Reality Foundation since 2014. The Virtual Reality Foundation is a non-profit organization to promote virtual reality. VRLA Expo is a bi-annual event that showcases the latest happenings in the world of the immersive technology.
The next VRLA EXPO will be held on 14th & 15th April 2017 at the LA Convention Center, Los Angeles. Whether you are into science, architecture, entertainment or gaming, VRLA Expo will give you a peek into the future of immersive technology.
The expo consists of demos, presentations, panel discussions, experiments and other informative sessions. You can find many hardware and software developers, content creators, industry leaders and thinkers at the venue. The event is for both, the consumers as well as industry professionals. Justin Roiland, co-creator of Rick and Morty and co-founder of Squanchtendo would be among the keynote speakers and will talk about the state of VR.
The expo will showcase product launches, cutting edge technologies and pre-launch demos. You will get to know what’s coming next from Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Playstation VR, Google Cardboard and Samsung GearVR.

Last year,Virtual Reality Foundation also launched VRLA School, for teaching content creation for AR and VR through workshops, speaker sessions, hackathons, meetups, and content incubation platforms. Girls make VR workshopis the foundation’s attempt to provide more exposure, resources, and inspiration to the females so that they make their mark in the immersive technology industry. Here, girls will learn how to create VR and AR games, 360 videos, interactive stories etc.
The summer expo 2016 had more than 130 exhibitors and sponsors.This is the third year for the event and it is expected to grander than ever. So, all the creators and lovers of immersive experience should not miss it.
