This event was first held in 1987! From 14th to 16th March 2017, the centre of attention in the conference will be AR and VR technologies. If you have worked on films, games, and interactive projects based on VR or Mixed reality, you can also submit your work. Selected projects will be exhibited in the JW Marriott for 2 days.
This year SXSW has launched a VR Section in its Film Festival. This section will showcase the latest and cutting edge works in Virtual Cinema. There will be 38 projects presented in the Virtual Cinema, focusing on storytelling, ingenuity and VR in other industries.
The speakers at the event include Game of Thrones Showrunners, D.B. Weiss and David Benioff; CNN political commentator, Van Jones; Outdoor Voices CEO, Tyler Haney etc. The event will be sponsored by big brands like Mcdonald’s, Capital One, Mazda etc.
